Dolphins don't make splash with Daboll hire

Dolphins fans were none too enthused when they learned that the team had hired Brian Daboll as offensive coordinator. It is hard to ignore the fact that his offense in Cleveland last season was one of just two teams that scored fewer points than the Dolphins. Word is he simply might have been the best available candidate. The way we hear it, Rob Chudzinski, who was hired by Ron Rivera to be the Panthers' offensive coordinator, was the Dolphins' first choice. But considering the events so far this postseason — owner Stephen Ross courting Jim Harbaugh while Tony Sparano was still under contract — Miami might not be a desirable spot for assistants. One of the most important things Daboll will be asked to do is improve the quarterback position, and when asked about it, Daboll did not exactly give Chad Henne a vote of confidence. "Well, yeah, Chad is on our roster," he said. "I know we are going to research every available player, whether it is draft or free agency, but I am excited to work with Chad."
