Readers pick Packers to win Super Bowl

ProFootballWeekly.com readers are firmly on the Packers' bandwagon.

In a recently concluded poll on this site asking which team would win the Super Bowl, Green Bay far outdistanced the closest competitor, receiving 2,229 of 5,989 votes, or 37.2 percent. Even though they were a wild-card team, they have become the Super Bowl favorite in the eyes of our readers.

Coming in second in the poll, which was begun Wednesday before the divisional playoff games, was New England, which was eliminated by the Jets on Sunday despite having posted the best record in the league. Third was Pittsburgh with 1,059 votes (17.7 percent), followed in fourth by Chicago with 575 votes and the Jets in fifth with 322 votes.

In our new poll we ask readers for their opinions as to whether Hue Jackson, who was promoted Tuesday from offensive coordinator to head coach, will produce a better record next season than the 8-8 mark that the fired Tom Cable achieved in 2010. Let us know what you think.
