NFL, NFLPA meet for second consecutive day

The NFL and the NFL Players Association met with a mediator on Saturday in Washington D.C., marking the second consecutive day of face-to-face negotiations regarding a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.

And, like they did on Friday, the two sides met at the National Mediation and Conciliation Service for nearly seven hours. The principals on both sides were reportedly very similar to the ones who met on Friday — with commissioner Roger Goodell and NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith heading the contingents for their respective side.

Among the players present Saturday were Steelers QB Charlie Batch, Jets FB Tony Richardson and Colts C Jeff Saturday.
