GM Chris Polian leaving bigger imprint on Colts this offseason

Chris Polian was promoted to general manager and vice president in late November of 2009. After working mainly behind the scenes the past year and a half, Polian has left his imprint on the Colts this offseason. In addition to leading the draft process for the first time in April, Polian has been instrumental in a lot of the turnover that has occurred in the front office and coaching staff, the way we hear it. The first shoe to drop came when former running backs coach Gene Huey, the longest-tenured coach on the staff, was fired in January. Since then, the club has made a slew of moves, including firing former director of player personnel Clyde Powers and hiring Chris' brother, Dennis Polian, as director of football administration, among others. While many of the changes have come as a surprise to people within and outside of the Colts' organization, we hear the moves were made to surround Polian with the people with whom he is most comfortable.
