By now, it has made its way around the stratosphere that Florida C-OG Mike Pouncey, brother of 2010 Pro Bowl Steelers C Maurkice Pouncey, has said on Twitter that he'd be shocked if he wasn't a Cowboy on Draft Day. Perhaps. But based on the sources we have talked to, it should be a shock that Pouncey is a Cowboy with the ninth pick in the draft. That's where the Cowboys currently sit, and the leaking of this information — along with the previous rumor that Auburn QB Cam Newton was on the team's radar — appear to indicate what we've heard since February: that No. 9 pick is very much for sale. The Cowboys appear to like the value of the draft in the middle of the first round but not at their current spot, and trading back would be very much on the play sheet of Jerry Jones. And they might indeed like Pouncey, who could start at guard and move to center down the line, but taking him at No. 9 just wouldn't be exceptional value, from our vantage point.
